Matt is a Director at HighWater Limited, a leading independent provider of corporate governance and director services to hedge and private equity funds and investment managers. Prior to joining HighWater, Matt held the role of Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Operational Risk Management at UBP Asset Management. He was a member of the Manager Selection Committee where he had veto rights over all alternative investment allocations. Before joining UBP, Matt developed the hedge fund operational risk platforms for Barclays Wealth, Barclays Global Investors and Bank Julius Baer. Matt has also held senior positions in hedge fund operations at Reservoir Capital Group and AQR Capital Management. Matt has a BS degree in Accounting from St. John’s University and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.

John specializes in the evaluation of operational risks of hedge funds, crypto funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, and private credit funds covering both large institutional investment advisors and emerging managers. John works with endowments, foundations, pensions, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices to undertake investment and operational due diligence related projects and has performed operational risk assessments on some of the largest and most complex funds and management companies. Prior, John has held senior roles with Kroll, Gottex Fund Management, and Nomura. John earned a B.A. in Finance & Marketing from the University of Florida and is a Certified Due Diligence Analyst (CCDA).
