The Fund Accounting teams in Halifax, NS and Naperville,IL are recruiting a full-time Assistant
Vice-President. The Assistance Vice-President reports to the VP of Fund
Accounting and will be responsible for a variety of duties including, but
not limited to, the below:

Primary Responsibilities

· Supervise a local team of Account Managers ensuring that NAV and
reporting deliverables are met accurately and on time for the HFX team and
any assigned clients

· Act as a primary or escalation point of contact for key Opus client

· Manage expectations both internally and with clients in relation to
team deliverables

· Provide support, guidance and assistance for local or overseas staff
to complete their tasks

· Review NAV calculations as required, ensuring adherence to procedures and

· Support management in initiatives to assist the team in achieving its
goal of delivering to clients through a scalable and control-focused model

· Assist in the audited financial statements and the annual audits
coordination and processes

Competencies Required

  • 7+ years’ job experience in the fund administration industry
  • 5+ years’ job experience in fund accounting
  • 5+ years’ job experience in a client communications role
  • Experience managing a team of people
  • Bachelor’s degree a strong plus
  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, outgoing, trainable, and adaptable personality
  • Strong Excel skills and experience in other MS Office applications
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Detail-oriented mindset and proficient under pressure
  • Excellent time and people management skills
